The New Green Woodwork Scheme
The New Green Woodwork Scheme is a plan to create a new collection of easily made contemporary design products using traditional green woodworking tools and sustainable coppice products. These products will be available as free ‘open source’ design for green woodworkers, and will be published in ‘The New Green Woodwork Pattern Book’.
Charlie Whinney and Grizedale Arts, have run a 5 day workshop and conference in Cumbria with 8 green woodworkers and 10 designers from around the UK, and produced new product designs and ideas, some of which will be developed into finished products and patterns for the scheme.
The scheme plans to continue developing new products through a series of workshops throughout the UK.
If you are a designer or professional green woodworker and want to take part in forth coming events or organise your own event with our assistance, please email us.
